Derick Markwell

Derick is the founder and Managing Director of Orbit Energy. He is an oil and gas facilities specialist with over 28 years of experience in planning and executing offshore oilfield developments both in Australia and SE Asia. Derick also co-founded Ochre Energy which he has now exited to pursue LNG and CNG opportunities under Orbit Energy. Derick Markwell is Founder and Managing Director of Atlas EPM and Tensa Equipment, sister companies that specialises in the engineering of small oil and gas developments and equipment for the offshore oil and gas industry respectively. He is also a director of Hydra Energy Pty Ltd. Before this, he co-founded ICON Engineering, a provider of oilfield engineering and construction services and was the Chief Facilities Engineer for Chevron’s Barrow Island asset, a mature onshore oilfield.
